You may be asking yourself, why I decided to design horror covers. I am not I'm not going to the other side nor have a slipped into darkness. As a Christian, I had made up my mind, I would not read any any books of that genre. I was taught that we shouldn't get into fear or have anything to do with darkness. However, a friend recommended I read The Oath by Frank Peretti. Thinking it was spiritual warfare like This Piercing Darkness, I checked it out and read it. I didn't see anything that had to do with Satan and demons. It was about a Dragon which symbolizes sin. It was about people who instead of confronting their sin , accepted it ad tried to ignore it. It was a horror genre. So before I found that out, I asked on Facebook if there is such a thing a Christian Horror and the response was yes. People said that Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti writes it. I looked up on Amazon and searched Christian Horror. The first book I saw was a non fiction book called "Christian Horror" The description talks about the Christian viewpoint of Horror Fiction. After that finding, I looked at what other covers look like and started my won designs. You can check them out under the Suspense/Thriller/Horror tab. On Facebook, I posted what might be an ugly cover. I did it for fun, but a friend of mine didn't like it. They have reaction emoji's and she used a sad face one. I understand we should have nothing to do with death, but at least I wasn't posting against the group rules. The down side of the group is those outside the group can see it and she saw it. I made Gothic covers too because it goes with horror. So if I should stay away from skulls, fine, but I may not stay away from demons. I don't like looking at them but they are a horror i themselves.
