In the last few months, people have looked up to the prophets to give them hope, but they made one mistake: They went by dates. None of the prophets gave dates. They speak just as God would speak in his word, in the Bible. Nothing is plain. In fact, God said through David that he would speak in riddles. Even Jesus spoke in parables and riddles. One time, his disciples told Jesus they "now understand" because he spoke plainly.
People today put their hopes in dates and it reminded me of the two men who walked on the road to Emmaus. They were much like everyone else--they misread the scriptures about the Messiah. They all thought Jesus would free them from the Roman rule so when he died on the cross, it left them feeling hopeless and confused. Who is going to save us now?
Jesus had to explain to them about the scriptures and how he had to fulfill them and how it was written about them and after he left, their eyes opened and their hearts burned. I pray an opening of eyes for the people of America. Many thought the prophecies would come to pass on Election Day. When it didn't happened, they placed their hope on Inauguration day and that's when people like the two men lost hope. Although I don't know if they thought prophecy failed, Americans demanded an apology from God's spokesmen/women. Why should they apology for speaking God's words? Did God speak to them and told then what would happen and when?
God is at work. I know we all hope and even heard months and seasons, etc, but God is not on our timetable! The things that are happening is part of his plans. The tables are turning and God is about to flop flip everything around. If things happened when we wanted to, I doubt their would be an awakening. How many republicans are former democrats? They are seeing the true color of that party. Trump stepped aside so God could do his job. The day will come when their worst fears will come to pass.
