"Show good Christian values and tells of the need to pray" A review from Amazon
As Julie worshipped God, she fell into a trance. The hair on the back of her neck lifted as she had a vision of a man with a man getting off a train. “Who is he?”
“This man wants nothing more than to have you for himself.”
“Is this the same man who stalked me?”
“Yes. And he is back for vengeance.”
“Why? What have I done? Wasn’t he arrested?”
“Eric still loves you, and this man will do anything to destroy him.”
Julie lost her breath. “But he is serving a two-year jail time!”
“That doesn’t matter to him. You must be on guard and continue to abide in me.”
As the vision ended, God gave her the strength to pray. He had protected her before. He would do it again. She was not about to leave Marysville. It had become her home. She had dated Andrew for a year now, and she was ready for a proposal. She had a job she left. It wouldn’t be fair if she left Marysville like she left Montana. God would have her back.
Julie closed her eyes and uttered words no human could understand....
Julie didn't learn about the power of prayer until she met Beth Miller and became friends with her. Julie needed God's protection because her ex-boyfriend's (or was he?) half brother followed her to California all the way from Montana with the intent to harm her. If she didn't seek God's protection by praying and staying in His presence, the villain would win out, and we wouldn't want that, would we?
I am a person of prayer too. My mother taught my sister and I the importance of prayer, but I learn another form of prayer, one that would confound the enemy and could read about that in my books. It's called praying in tongues. 1st Corinthians 14:13-19, Paul wrote that if we pray in tongues, we should also pray in own her language. Praying in the tongues confuses the enemies. he only knows the language of the earth because he is carnal and not spiritual, but the Holy Spirit knows what we are praying. (Read Romans 8).
Prayer should be an important part of every believer's life and I show it in my books. In book one and two Julie needed it for protection, but prayer is not a one way communication. It's a not a wish list where a person prays, "Dear God, please heal my husband, please give me an increase income," etc. Of course God wants to heal, but he wants to speak to you to and see that in my books. You'll see that God speaks to my characters because I know he speaks to me. He speaks to us in more than one ways. (Read Encounter God about the ways God speaks to us)
If you have never spoke in tongues, it starts with the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Once you receive that, you are endowed with the language of the Spirit. For more information on Praying in other tongues read Acts 2.
